At the direction of CAA president, Tony Vaught, the association has established a Marine Aquaculture Committee to address current aquaculture-related issues and opportunities in state and federal waters.
The committee will report to the CAA board and will serve as a collaborative forum dedicated to advancing the sustainable development of marine aquaculture. The committee aims to bring together industry representatives and stakeholders to address key issues such as permitting, environmental stewardship, technology innovation, and market growth. Its mission is to promote responsible practices that support economic opportunity, food security, and ocean health while fostering communication between the public and private sectors.
