Deadlines Approaching for California Sea Grant Fellowship Applications

2024 John A. Knauss Marine Policy Fellowship Program 

Applications are due by February 16, 2023
The Knauss Fellowship provides a unique educational experience to graduate students who have an interest in ocean, coastal and Great Lakes resources and in the national policy decisions affecting those resources. The program, which is sponsored by NOAA’s National Sea Grant College Program, matches highly qualified graduate students with hosts in the legislative and executive branches of government located in the Washington, D.C. area for a one-year paid fellowship.

California Sea Grant will host an informational webinar and Alumni panel on January 11, 2023 from 12:00 – 1:00 pm PT.

2023 NMFS-SG Fellowship Program

Applications are due by January 25, 2023 
The National Sea Grant College Program and the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) support a Ph.D. graduate fellowship in two specific areas:
  1. Population and ecosystem dynamics
  2. Marine resource economics

The intent of this opportunity is to support students who are interested in careers related to population and ecosystem dynamics and marine resource economics with applications to living marine resources to achieve climate-ready fisheries using an ecosystem-based fishery management approach.

Application packages must be submitted to California Sea Grant by January 25, 2023, 5:00 PM PTProspective fellows must be pursuing a degree in a graduate program in California to submit applications to California Sea Grant.
