California Energy Commission (CEC) AB 525 Sea Space Identification Webinar

The California Energy Commission (CEC) is holding a virtual webinar on Thursday, December 8th from 1:00p -4:00p PST to discuss the State’s approach and progress on the identification of suitable sea space to meet the requirements of Assembly Bill (AB) 525. The primary purpose of the webinar will be to discuss the identification of suitable sea space; however, CEC staff will also be available to answer questions on the development of other AB 525 required products, including a permitting roadmap and a preliminary assessment of the economic benefits of offshore wind as they relate to seaport investments and workforce development. Additionally, other agency staff will be available to give updates and answer questions about other offshore wind related activities, including the California Coastal Commission’s Condition 7c fishing working group and the BOEM lease sale.
