The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Farm Service Agency, has posted a recording of a webinar held on June 4, 2021 to inform the aquaculture community about recent changes to the Emergency Livestock, Honey Bees and Farm-Raised Fish Program (ELAP).
The program had been significantly expanded to include a greater variety of farmed fish, molluscs and invertebrates. ELAP provides financial assistance to eligible producers for livestock and feed losses due to disease, certain adverse weather events or loss conditions, including blizzards and wildfires, as determined by the Secretary.
