The second-largest US rainbow trout farmer, owned by the creator of a multitude of hit TV shows, is in talks to buy Clear Springs Foods, its larger rival, sources close to the process told Undercurrent News.
A sale process for Clear Springs is underway, which has seen a bid from the Spring Salmon Group — the owner of Riverence, Evaqua Farms, Landwater Provisions, and Origin Agtech — selected for exclusive negotiations and due diligence, two sources told Undercurrent.
Neither Clear Springs nor Spring Salmon — owned by David E. Kelley (pictured above), the creator of hit TV shows such as Big Little Lies, L.A. Law, Picket Fences, Chicago Hope, Ally McBeal, and Boston Legal – responded to requests for comment.
