K. Michelle Edge, a bestselling author, and illustrator of children’s stories, has released her latest book, “Carl’s Fish Farm – An Introduction to Aquaculture”.
An entertaining children’s picture book, Carl’s Fish Farm educates young readers about the ins and outs of aquaculture. Told from the viewpoint of a personable catfish, fun rhymes engage young readers as they spend a day with Carl, who gives a tour of his daily life on a South Georgia fish farm and introduces them to other organisms that were also raised in aquacultures, such as algae, salmon, alligators, and oysters. The book contains real-life environmental photos and illustrations of Carl, a glossary of common aquaculture words, and the biographies of successful career-oriented individuals in the aquaculture community, including water consultants and professors, so young readers can imagine careers in the field.
