Aquaculture Opportunity Areas continue to be a priority for NOAA Fisheries and our efforts to make AOA identification transparent and inclusive remain a vital part of the process. For the past several months NOAA’s Aquaculture Program has conducted public listening sessions, presentations to stakeholders and Fishery Management Councils, and created materials to keep stakeholders informed. Building on these efforts, we invite you to join a follow-up discussion on the next steps in the AOA planning process.
NOAA Fisheries Office of Aquaculture staff will discuss common themes from the Request for Information, next steps in the current and future planning process, and take AOA questions from attendees.
