Senator McGuire, Chairman of the Joint Committee on Fisheries and Aquaculture (JCFA), is announcing the upcoming JCFA hearing on November 19, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., in the State Capitol, Room 112, Sacramento, CA. The JCFA informational hearing will include presentations and discussions of the Dungeness crab fishery in California including updates on crab quality, domoic acid, whale entanglements, the prognosis for the marine heat wave and more. Additionally, the JCFA will hear information regarding the status of Caltrans’ efforts to remediate fish passage barriers on state highways.
