California Aquaculture Association to Participate at California Agriculture Day at the Capitol

The California Aquaculture Association (CAA) will be participating at the California Agriculture Day at the Capitol in Sacramento, California. This event, hosted by the California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA), will take place on March 19th, 2014 from 10:00am to 1:30pm.

This event will celebrate California’s great agricultural industry with booths, animals, food, and much more. Participants will share their California commodities and information with state legislators, legislative staffers, state agency representatives, media, and the general public.

The theme for this year is “Common Ground: Celebration, Innovation, Education”. This marquee event on the steps of the State Capitol is the California agricultural community’s annual opportunity to showcase new technologies, educate and inspire the farmers and ranchers of tomorrow, and highlight the diverse and significant roles we all play in our state’s dynamic and complex food system.

The following is a schedule of the day’s events:
10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Elected officials and staff tour booths
11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Booths open to the public
