Spotlight on Innovation: Cal Poly Humboldt Students and Faculty Present at Aquaculture America

Cal Poly Humboldt students and alumni created waves at Aquaculture America. Graduate student Phillip Tahimic presented his thesis research project on a new kelp nursery system.  Phillip is defending his thesis this April 2nd at 2 pm; you can watch it by Zoom (Meeting ID: 84816151768; Password: seaweed). A recent graduate, Evan Simpson, presented his thesis work on the production of winged kelp (Alaria marginata) in Humboldt Bay. Dr. Rafael Cuevas Uribe gave an overview of the Cal Poly Humboldt ProvidenSea Seaweed Farm. He also participated in the Rising Together: Building Pathways for Women’s Leadership in Aquaculture.
