Contact Your Senators and Representatives to Advocate for Aquaculture in the Farm Bill

Courtesy of NAA:

This past Monday the U.S. Senate Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry Committee Chairwoman Debbie Stabenow (D-MI) introduced S.3309 Rural Prosperity and Food Security Act. This introduction to the Committee follows the May action by the House Committee on Agriculture chaired by Representative G.T. Thompson (R-15-PA) to mark up and pass H.R.8467 Farm, Food, and National Security Act of 2024.

The National Aquaculture Association has completed a side-by-side comparison of the bills. Click here to download our comparative table. The NAA recommends contacting your Senators and Representative to support similar provisions in both bills or to substitute or add a provision in either bill to the final Farm Bill to produce the best Farm Bill ever for U.S. aquaculture.
