Webinar: National Academy of Sciences report on seafood in pregnancy

Mar 26, 2024
2:00PM – 3:00PM ET

Seafood—including marine and freshwater fish, mollusks, and crustaceans—is a healthy food choice but can also contain contaminants that may be harmful to health. An expert committee from the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine convened to examine associations between seafood intake—especially for pregnant and lactating women and children—and child growth and development. An upcoming report will present the committee’s findings, conclusions, recommendations, and critical research gaps.

In a public release webinar, on March 26th at 2:00pm ET, The Committee on the Role of Seafood Consumption in Child Growth and Development will provide an overview of key conclusions and recommendations and answer audience questions.
