Job Opportunity: California Regional Aquaculture Coordinator (NOAA)

NOAA is hiring a full-time permanent Marine Resource Management Specialist Position (ZP-0401-03/04), in the West Coast Region, Policy and Planning Branch. This position will serve as the Regional Aquaculture Coordinator (RAC) for California.  Possible duty stations for this position include Long Beach, Santa Rosa, Sacramento, Santa Cruz, and Arcata.

Responsibilities include representing the California region on national and regional aquaculture issues. This includes coordination of regional aquaculture activities with WCR Divisions, West Coast Science Centers, and the Office of Aquaculture, including conducting meetings with stakeholders and partners and producing publications and reports.  The RAC also facilitates meetings with private, federal, state, local and tribal entities to improve efficiency and effectiveness of aquaculture permitting processes and increase public understanding of aquaculture issues.
