Reminder: Aquaculture Lease Public Interest Workshop Tomorrow, September 30th

California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) and California Fish and Game Commission (FGC) staffs invite your participation in an online workshop to help develop draft criteria for public interest determinations for proposed new state water bottom (or aquaculture) leases.

What: Aquaculture Lease “Public Interest” Policy Guidance Criteria Workshop
When: Friday, September 30, 2022, 9:00 – 11:00 a.m.
Where: Webinar and teleconference

How: Instructions for joining the workshop, an agenda, and workshop materials will be posted in the Meetings section of the CDFW Aquaculture webpage and the FGC Meetings webpage.

The workshop is meant to build on feedback received in response to an initial draft of criteria. Background context and additional information on this effort are available at the CDFW Aquaculture webpage and within the Staff Summary of the Commission’s July 2022 Marine Resources Committee (MRC). Additional materials, including a summary of initial public input, along with a second draft will be posted at the CDFW Aquaculture webpage in advance of the workshop.
