Senator McGuire, Chair of the Joint Committee on Fisheries and Aquaculture (JCFA), is announcing the upcoming 48th Annual Zeke Grader Fisheries Forum before the JCFA on November 4, 2021, 10:00 am to 2:30 pm, State Capitol, Room 4203. The Forum is an informational hearing that will include presentations and discussions of fishery and aquaculture issues from throughout California. More detailed information including live stream and Zoom access information will be provided in the upcoming weeks and will also be posted here.
The legislature has enacted public health measures to protect against COVID-19 including social distancing for audience seating and the required use of face masks by all persons entering the Capitol complex. There will be limited seating available for those wishing to attend the hearing in-person. All panelists providing testimony must participate remotely per Senate rules.
Unfortunately, due to the ongoing COVID-19 emergency there will not be a Fisheries Forum seafood reception this year.
