CAA President’s Message

vaught tony 1

Dear members,

I have found that my time with family and friends and my business life is trending towards familiarity with a new perspective. I hope yours has also. I am excited about the new programs and direction CAA is taking. Here is just one:

CAA has launched a new online tool: The CAA Auction

Here is the purpose of this tool.

  1. Provide a place to post and sell new and used equipment.
  2. Give a place for suppliers to showcase new products.
  3. To support the work of the association in a new and creative way.

I am asking each member to post one item – new, used, large, small, aquaculture-related or not. Let’s get some inventory on the platform.

I am asking non-members to post items that may be useful to farmers, research schools, and hobby farmers.

I am asking suppliers, such as feed and equipment companies, to provide products (as they have in silent auctions in the past) to support this program.

Then, of course, I am asking all to buy!

Items needed:

  • Used equipment. Go check out your boneyard.
  • Fish and shellfish. Samples of your crop. Many have mail order in place.
  • New equipment, demo units, last year’s models.
  • Any item of value that you want to move along towards a good cause.

We all had a tough year, including CAA. Let’s make sure we do not run in the red in 2021.

Thank You,

Tony Vaught, CAA President
