March 24, 2021 – The California Aquaculture Association (CAA) has launched an auction platform, which will serve as a marketplace for new and used aquaculture related products and equipment. The auction platform will also allow for sellers to donate a portion of the auction proceeds to CAA.

How it works:

• Sellers can submit an auction via the Submit an Auction page.
• Once approved by CAA staff, the auction will be posted on the Auctions page.
• Bidders can either bid on the auction using the “Bid Now” button or purchase the item by using the “Buy Now” button, if applicable.
• Auction winners will be directed to pay for the item via PayPal.
• Once paid, the seller will ship the item to the buyer or coordinate local pick up.

A percentage of auction proceeds (between 10% and 100%) will be donated to the California Aquaculture Association, per agreement with the seller. Proceeds will be used to fulfill the mission statement of the California Aquaculture Association (CAA). 

Anyone interested in selling an item is encouraged to submit their auction here. Once auctions are listed on the auction platform, CAA will advertise the items for sale/auction via their email newsletter, social media, and other outlets.
