The distribution of the COVID-19 vaccination has begun in California, with priority set via a tiered system. Aquaculture workers will be included in the Phase 1B Tier One distribution. At this time, it is unclear when this phase of vaccinations will be distributed and how these vaccinations will be administered, but it is anticipated that the distribution will begin soon.
In preparation of this distribution, the California Aquaculture Association (CAA) is collecting data to better inform agencies about the needs of the industry. The purpose of this survey is to gain knowledge of the total number of aquaculture related businesses in California and the total number of those employed by these businesses. All business specific data collected will be kept strictly CONFIDENTIAL.
