California Sea Grant and Southern California Coastal Ocean Observing System (SCCOOS) are seeking a postdoctoral researcher with a Ph.D. in marine science, oceanography, geography, or quantitative (marine) ecology to investigate the dynamics of habitat availability and disturbance in marine protected areas.
The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in coastal oceanographic processes and experienced with multivariate data analysis and gridded (spatially explicit) datasets. Additional experience with biogeochemical and/or physical oceanographic data, ecological forecasting, and geostatistics is beneficial.
