The National Aquaculture Association (NAA) is organizing an Aquaculture America 2020 NAA Producer Session entitled Sterility in Aquaculture – Advances, Performance, Impacts.
NAA is seeking farmers, scientists, and extension specialists working on the forefront of cutting edge, applied methodologies to induce sterility, studies comparing performance of chemical, physical and genetic techniques, and applied experiences. Functional sterility is an important management and production tool for finfish and shellfish aquaculture in many areas of the United States. The session is focused on what works, doesn’t work, and why.
NAA Producer Sessions are unique to Aquaculture America. They are focused on applied topics and abstracts are not required, presentations can be in 15-minute increments (rather than limited to 15 minutes) and we may add a Q&A or panel discussion at the end.
For additional information or to submit a presentation title, speaker title/affiliation and time needed for a presentation, please email this information to the session co-chairs Dave Straus, dave.straus@usda.gov, and Jim Parsons, Jim.Parsons@cookeaqua.com. Final session agendas are due November 1, 2019, but (for heaven’s sake) do not wait to the last minute to tell us you would like to present on this topic.
