This is a friendly reminder to CAA members who have not yet renewed their 2019 memberships:
Your membership in the California Aquaculture Association (CAA) is greatly appreciated and in 2018 funded a number of efforts to help keep your business thriving by:
- Supporting an amendment to the Farm Bill to exempt live fish from onerous delivery regulations.
- Promoting California aquaculture to meet current and future demand.
- Standing with shellfish farmers to establish reasonable best management practices (BMPs), as requested by the state and supporting the Shellfish Initiative to triple production.
- Advocating enhanced stocking of warm water fish.
- Working to establish a marine aquaculture industry in California by:
- Supporting the Advancing the Quality and Understanding of American Aquaculture (AQUAA) Act.
- Maintaining commitment from the CDFW to complete the marine PEIR.
- Supporting California’s Ocean Resources Enhancement and Hatchery Program (OREHP).
In 2019, we are accomplishing even more, including efforts to fight against the destructive agendas of extreme ENGOs and regulatory threats that would negatively impact your business. Please keep in mind that we can’t do it without the generous contribution of company leaders like you. Thank you!
