NAA Seeking Farm or Product Promotion Materials and Your Input to the Culinary Education Project

Courtesy of NAA:

The National Aquaculture Association (NAA) will be participating at the Center for the Advancement of Foodservice Education Leadership Conference June 20-23 in Charlotte. The goal is to recruit and inform culinary educators to deliver a positive message about aquaculture to their students. Farm-raised catfish tacos will be served at the opening reception.

During the conference, NAA will be conducting a survey of culinary educators’ attitudes toward farmed seafood and a raffle to encourage participation. This activity creates an opportunity to collect contact information from the participating schools.

The NAA has an opportunity to distribute farm or product educational materials at the Info Fair and would be happy to distribute materials from NAA members.  Also, the NAA will be providing promotional items for attendee gift bags. The conference is requesting 135 items. If you have materials or promotional items you’d like to distribute to culinary educators, please let us know.

The NAA will also be exhibiting at the American Culinary Federation Convention in August and the International Foodservice Editorial Council meeting in October. We welcome suggestions or ideas that NAA members may have to make our participation more effective and to help showcase your products.

Please contact Linda O’Dierno, Outreach Specialist, to contribute materials, receive the results of the culinary educator survey, or to share your ideas. Linda can be reached at 914-330-7678 or linda@thenaa.net.
