The informational hearing will include presentations and discussions related to fisheries throughout California focusing on the fishery disasters for salmon, Dungeness crab, sea urchin and sardines. There will be updates on the progress and recommendations of the Dungeness Crab Task Force and the California Dungeness Crab Fishing Gear Working Group (Whale Working Group). The JCFA will also hear and discuss recommendations for fishery and aquaculture related legislation for the 2018 session.
