The Fish Site will be hosting a webinar, Parasitic Infections in Aquaculture, on June 11th, 2015.

This webinar will briefly consider some of the historical reports of disease under aquaculture conditions and a background to the main types of aquaculture globally. Although the focus will be on salmonid aquaculture, examples of parasite infections in other fish species as well as those affecting molluscs and crustaceans, will be presented. The webinar will provide information on parasite lifecycles, their impact at an individual, farm and ecosystem level, current treatments as well as consideration of potential new and novel diseases in aquaculture.
