Pacific Seafood Group is planning an expansion of oyster production in California’s Humboldt County.
“It’s growing, and we’re doing well,” Jon Steinman, general manager for Pacific’s shellfish division, told Undercurrent News. “The supply is shorter than demand, so it’s a good place to be.”
Approval on permits is likely a year away, but Pacific has already making investments in its plant in South Bend, which it acquired from Coast Seafoods back in 2011…
