FDA withdraws Proposed Rule to adopt common or usual names for additional crab species

Common or Usual Name of Crabmeat – FDA has withdrawn its April 23, 1998 Proposed Rule to adopt common or usual names for additional crab species in the regulations as it is “… obsolete because FDA has created a new process that allows for routine updates to the seafood names without going through notice and comment rulemaking …”
